Nate's Half Marathon

Nicknamed the Juggler, this guy was running the full 26.2 miles juggling 5 balls. Crazy.

Pre 13.1 mile run of Nate and AJ

Katelyn giving last minute advice

The Starting line, it took 8 1/2 minutes for everybody to cross the start.

I'm off with the other 6,000 runners.

Nate sees Dave sneak by and it gave him the motivation to pick up speed.

Post 13.1 mile run of Nate and AJ

The Battle Wounds

Where was Katelyn? She and Katie were bonding over fishies as we toured the USS Constellation for Free Fall Baltimore.

For those who have questioned, Why didn't Stacey run? I will quickly defend that here is my race from April in Ocean City (in the snow) and kindly remind you that I have less than 4 months left in my pregnancy. Really I just learned from last time. Notice my stride here as I round in to the finish. I could barely move. Then check out Nate's stride at the last mile with Dave. Hee Hee.

Thanks Ang! I felt so left out when the music was pumping at the start. Katelyn and I danced on one of the grassy hills and figured we had the much better deal. Although Nate did say the gummy bears they passed along the run at the water stations were the best tasting he's ever had...

Thats great for Nate. One of these years I will do the 1/2 Marathon, but I will probably not be able to walk after crossing that finish line either. Thanks for the nice comment on my blog.

Congrats to Nate!! We are so proud of him. (Especially all the hard training he did in advance!) J/K he rocks. And so do you Stace. Pregnant or no, I can't even run a 5k.

Hey Stace - you got some great pictures! I love the action shot of Dave trying to sneak past Nate. That is priceless.

The funny thing is that Dave crossed the start line 2 minutes after Nate so chip time says Dave beat Nate overall. Funny stuff.

Congrats, Nate! I remember those long runs...I definitely couldn't do it anytime soon. Way to be a rockstar. And seriously, Stace, I wouldn't even have considered you running, being pregnant and all. You have other pressing matters at hand.

aw stace, there ain't no need to defend your reasons... i've never done a race, and i have entirely no shame at all. was that ocean city, maryland? i used to go there when i was an intern in dc! how long have you lived back east, anyway? maybe we could've met up.. what a pity.

Great job, Nate! And wasn't that 1/2 marathon in the blizzard in April such a fun memory? Ha ha! Good times!
