Katelyn's 3rd Birthday

Katelyn's third birthday was great. We started the morning jumping on the bed. Then we took a trip to the Rancho Reserve to see the animals. We had Princess Spaghettios for lunch and twirled in Katelyn's new yellow dress from Grandma Starley. Sorry Mom. I will have to do a separate post of the crabby shirts and dolls because I forgot to take photos...lame, sorry.

Just before it was time to pick up the last minute items for the party Katelyn conveniently locked herself and Sarah in their room. After a failed attempt to explain how to unlock the door we took out the handy dandy screwdriver. Yep that just took off the knob. Finally it occured to me to describe the handle for a 3 year old. Katelyn the knob has a belly button. Can you turn the doorknob's belly button. Worked like a charm.

We ended up at the park just as our friends were arriving. Happily we are a low maintenance crowd. Cake, icecream cake, and sidewalk chalk and everyone's happy. Thanks all for coming and celebrating with us! It was really fun.

Sorry we missed the party. Looks like fun. You have tons of posts since last time I looked. You've been busy fitting in tons of CA before your move. Smart girl. And congrats on the house offer. If you ever go to Rancho again. Give me a call. I live just 5 min away.

Happy birthday to Katelyn! Her hair is getting so long and pretty.

How funny that the belly button image did the trick to unlocking that door. I'll have to remember that!

Looks like you guys have been busy having lots of fun! Happy birthday to Katelyn, I can't believe she is 3! And, I am jealous you got to hang with the Selways and Corteses. I hope that they are all doing good. They are all a lot of fun.
